A private saltwater pool is part of the estate experience. The temperature you enjoy, the weather during your stay and the way the pool is covered all matter when planning a visit to the South Palm Desert hills.
Optional heating, at actual cost
Pool heating is optional and charged at the actual heating cost, passed through to you. Discuss your preferred temperature and request an estimate for your dates before reserving if a warm pool is important to the trip. Do not assume heating is included in the nightly rate.
The energy required depends on weather, wind, the pool’s starting temperature, the desired temperature and duration. An estimate is not a guaranteed flat daily price. Ask how startup heating, ongoing use and any changes during the stay will be handled.
Cover use is part of the plan
Solar-cover use helps manage heat loss and cost and is essential overnight. Confirm the practical instructions with the host, including how your group should handle the cover safely. Plan pool use around the agreed heating and cover arrangements rather than leaving those decisions until arrival.
A hillside climate, not a weather guarantee
South Palm Desert is a useful starting point for planning the trip, but the estate’s hillside setting is not identical to the valley floor. Check a current forecast close to departure. Winter visits call for layers and advance pool planning; warm-season visits call for shade, water and sensible timing for outdoor activities.
We do not promise a fixed temperature difference from downtown, year-round swimming conditions or a particular pool temperature without discussing the stay. Review any accessibility or pool-safety needs with the host and supervise children appropriately.
